Executive Secretary
The Executive Secretary ensures smooth administrative operations of the Southern Union and its associated entities. He assists the President in preparation for executive committees, union sessions, and departmental councils. He is also responsible for the preparation and distribution of minutes to the Union’s boards and committees. The Executive Secretary also issues credentials and licenses for union office and retired workers. Dr. Smith also coordinates Prison Ministries and Disabilities Ministries for the Southern Union.
The Executive Secretary serves on several boards including Oakwood University, Florida Hospital, Adventist Health System, Advent Source, and Message Magazine and vice-chairs the Southern Adventist University Board of Trustees.
